Summer 2026 – Open Positions:

Assistant Dog Obedience Trainer  

Works under the direct supervision of the Lead Dog Obedience Trainer to ensure safe, effective obedience classes and individual training. Responsibilities include using animal behavior modification techniques to develop training programs for basic obedience classes and for dogs doing individual training for problem behaviors.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Individual Dog Training & Owner Coaching:  Assist the lead instructor in developing and executing effective behavior modification plans for dogs enrolled in training during daycare.  Includes videotaping sessions with the dogs, developing written lesson plans, and customer communication.  Maintain a clean, safe training environment at all times.
  • Classes: Includes preparation and setup.  Assist lead instructor in developing classes for puppies and adult dogs, from beginning obedience to more advanced training and agility.  Assist owners in understanding how to work with their dogs.  Monitor dog body language and playgroups to minimize stress and prevent adverse interactions. Ensure leashes are adequately secured and safety protocols are strictly followed.
  • Administrative Support: Confirm customer appointments, schedule training sessions, and maintain proper attendance and training records.
  • Professional Development: Working with senior mentors to master obedience methodologies, progressing toward independent instruction over time.

Qualifications & Physical Requirements

  • Experience: Prior experience working with animals (e.g., kennels, shelters, or vet clinics) is highly preferred. A deep, passionate commitment to helping both pets and people is essential.  A degree in dog obedience training, or working toward a degree, is preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent customer service and diplomacy skills; must be comfortable counseling pet owners and speaking to the public.
  • Physical Demands: Must be physically able to stand for extended periods (1.5+ hours), kneel, bend, and safely manage energetic dogs.

 

Dog Handler

Dog Handlers are responsible for the supervision and management of daycare dogs and ensuring safety of the dog play groups and overnight lodging guests. Additionally, they maintain, clean, and sanitize dog enclosures, playrooms, and other areas according to high sanitary requirements.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise dog playgroups following established company standards on dog social interactions, communication, and care
  • Administer food and medicine with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Complete sanitary and cleaning tasks precisely to ensure safety and healthy caretaking of pets
  • Assist in all areas of the Company as needed, including enrichment and bathing
  • Provide outstanding service to customers, human and canine
  • Must be able to work as scheduled with regular attendance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Job requires physical work such as bending, stooping, interacting with strong dogs, long hours on feet, working often outdoors even in poor weather conditions.
  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree preferred
  • Previous work with animals professionally preferred
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have car or transportation

 

Kennel Attendant 

Kennel Attendants are responsible for overseeing cleaning and sanitary tasks, from daily duties to regular maintenance throughout the facility, and will assist in caring for overnight lodging dogs and in other areas as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with overnight boarding dogs (feeding, giving medication, taking out to potty, cleaning enclosures, picking up poop, cleaning up urine and slobber and spills)
  • Complete sanitary and cleaning tasks (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning, kennel cleaning, etc.)
  • Assist other team members as needed, which may include bathing dogs, walking dogs, or moving them around, supervising play groups, and assisting with enrichment activities
  • Must be able to work as scheduled with regular attendance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Job requires physical work such as bending, stooping, interacting with strong dogs, long hours on feet, working often outdoors even in poor weather conditions.
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have car or transportation
